Trecce Sicilia naturally with crab sauce

From Puglia comes this wonderful recipe sent by one of our Sicilian pasta consumers of course. The main ingredient of the dish is the fairytale crab, named with the term “hairy” by the inhabitants of Apulia. This succulent crustacean gives life to a dish rich in flavors and colors. Although the taste is rich, the preparation is simple:

INGREDIENTS
  • Trecce Sicilia 400 gr
  • Tomato pulp 350 gr
  • Extra virgin olive oil 50 gr

  • crabmeat150 gr
  • Salt and pepper qb
PREPARATION
  • Take the tomato pulp and mix it with a little olive oil, but still leave it thick.

  • At the same time, take a pan and add oil and garlic and let it fry. Once the oil is hot, add the hairy / crabs to cook them. salt and pepper to taste

  • In the meantime, cook the pasta and drain it al dente.

  • Then drain the braids and sauté them with the crab, pouring the tomato pulp.

  • Serve hot and if you want to add a further sprinkling of pepper
